💰 Important pricing changes

We're making GPT for Work more accessible with significant pricing changes:

  • Huge price drops for models available without an API key and paid models available with an API key
  • Previously free models available with an API key now cost $1 per million tokens
  • Custom endpoint models (Azure, Ollama, other local servers) remain free for personal use

These changes make AI more affordable while maintaining the quality and performance you expect. For complete details, see our blog post.

🤖 New AI models in June 2025

Google models

  • Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite - Excel Word Sheets (with API key)
A low-cost, low-latency thinking model that excels at high-volume, latency-sensitive tasks like translation and classification.
  • Gemini 2.5 Pro - Excel Word Sheets (with API key)
Replaces the Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview model with improved performance and stability.

👥 Enhanced team management

Admin roles and ownership transfers

  • New admin role available to assist space owners with management tasks, including pack purchases
  • Transfer ownership directly from the GPT for Work dashboard
  • Control personal API keys - space owners can now choose whether team members are allowed to use their own API keys and, in GPT for Excel and GPT for Word, their own custom endpoints.

✨ User experience improvements

Run experience

  • Enhanced progress trackers now show the model used and runtime counter while bulk AI tools are running
  • New run buttons for instantly clearing all fields and resetting bulk AI tool setups
  • Smart result column selection - Bulk AI tools automatically suggest the first empty column after your input data

Prompt experience

  • Direct prompt import from cells in the Custom prompt bulk AI tool
  • Context columns dropdown in the Generate bulk AI tool for including columns as context
  • Dynamic target languages in the Translate bulk AI tool - set different target languages for each row using a separate column
  • New text input controls for bulk AI tools with new fill, copy, and clear controls

Rate limit optimization

Bulk AI tools and GPT functions now better adjust their execution speed to your model and API key rate limits, improving speed for high-capacity models and reducing errors.

Content size handling

  • Automatic content truncation for AI responses that exceed cell character limits, ensuring you always see results in GPT for Excel and Sheets
  • Content preview in GPT for Word showing how much content is being sent in requests
  • Context size warnings to prevent accidental content loss in GPT for Word

🔌 Endpoints made easier

  • Redesigned custom endpoints section with support for multiple endpoints, validity checking, and custom display names
  • Ollama endpoint testing directly within GPT for Excel and Word
