GPT for Work - 2025 October updates
🎉 The headline feature for October 2025 is the Agent's availability for all GPT for Excel users, enabling bulk spreadsheet operations through a simple chat interface! This month, we're excited to showcase how to create and apply formulas using plain language with the Agent. This is a preview of the Agent in GPT for Sheets, currently being rolled out... Soon in your spreadsheets!
We've introduced centralized model management, added support for new AI models, and enabled Azure OpenAI integration at team level.
Explore the key improvements and announcements below, and check out the release notes for the full details.
📐 Agent: Create and apply formulas using plain language
Learn how to create and apply formulas in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel using plain language with the GPT for Work add-ons. No more complex formula syntax! Just describe what you need, and let the Agent build and apply the formulas for you.

🎛️ Centralized model management

The GPT for Work dashboard now includes a dedicated Models page, where you can manage which models appear in the add-ons and in what order. You can also:
- Set whether new models are enabled by default
- Define a default model that the Agent uses to perform bulk operations and to generate lists (also the model new users see preselected)
- Set a web search model for the Agent and the GPT_WEB function

☁️ Azure OpenAI integration at team level

You can now set up Azure OpenAI endpoints at the team level from the GPT for Work dashboard. This gives you flexible deployment options for enterprise environments, allowing admins to configure Azure OpenAI integration once for an entire space.

API key validation

Dashboard users can now check the validity of their API keys, either all at once or one by one, making key management easier and more reliable.
