Install GPT for Excel

Install the GPT for Excel add-in to prompt AI in bulk directly from your Microsoft Excel workbooks.

Desktop

1. Go to the installation page.

2. Click Open in Excel.

   

   A pop-up appears at the top of the window, requesting your permission to proceed.

3. Confirm to open Microsoft Excel.

   You are redirected to the Microsoft Excel desktop app.

   If this method does not work, proceed as follows:

   1. Open Microsoft Excel.
   2. Click Add-ins from the Home tab.
   3. Search for GPT for Excel Word and click Add.
4. Click Accept and Continue to accept the permissions.
   

You have installed GPT for Excel on your Microsoft account. The add-in is now available from the Home tab on the desktop app and the Web version of Excel.

What's next

Run bulk tools and execute GPT functions.

Web

1. Go to the installation page.

2. Click Open in Excel Online.

   

   A new spreadsheet opens.

3. Click Accept and Continue to accept the permissions.

   

You have installed GPT for Excel on your Microsoft account. The add-in is now available from the Home tab on the Web version and on the desktop app of Excel.
