Install GPT for Word

Install the GPT for Word add-in to chat with your Microsoft Word documents.

  1. Go to the installation page.

  2. Click Open in Word.

    A pop-up appears at the top of the window, requesting your permission to proceed.

  3. Confirm to open Microsoft Word.

    You are redirected to the Microsoft Word desktop app.

    If this method does not work, proceed as follows:

    1. Open Microsoft Word.
    2. Click Add-ins from the Home tab.
    3. Search for GPT for Excel Word and click Add.
  4. Click Accept and Continue to accept the permissions.

You have installed GPT for Word on your Microsoft account. The add-in is now available from the Home tab on the desktop app and the Web version of Word.
