Subscription pricing
Subscription pricing applies to new GPT for Work spaces. You pay a recurring fee per month and each seat comes with a monthly quota. If you need more, you can buy extra-usage credits that go into a shared balance for the whole space.

How usage works
Each space has two separate balances:
-
Per-seat monthly quota: Each seat gets its own monthly quota ($25/month). The quota is tied to the seat and isn't pooled across users.
-
Shared extra-usage balance: Funded by extra-usage credits bought by a space admin. This balance is pooled and available to every user in the space.
When you run an AI execution, GPT for Work consumes credits in this order:
-
The seat's monthly quota is consumed first.
-
Once it's exhausted, the shared extra-usage balance is consumed.
-
If both balances are empty (or a spending limit is reached), the execution fails with an
out of usageerror.
An active subscription is required to consume the extra-usage balance. For more information about credit consumption, see Model prices.
For more information, see Buy extra-usage credits and Set spending limits for extra usage.
Renewals and resets
-
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
-
At every renewal, each seat's monthly quota resets. Unused quota does not roll over.
-
The shared extra-usage balance is unaffected by renewals. Extra-usage credits stay valid 12 months from your most recent top-up.
Not sure which pricing model you're on?
Open the GPT for Work dashboard. If the badge next to SPACE in the left sidebar shows PAY AS YOU GO, your space is on the pay-as-you-go model. If it shows a plan name, your space is on the subscription model.
