Set creativity level

Set the creativity level that will be used for all GPT executions in your workbook to define how standard (or not) your output is expected to be. You can find out more about the temperature setting, used by OpenAI to set a creativity level, in our Temperature guide.

  1. In the GPT in Excel sidebar, click Settings.

    The Behavior bar allows you to select an action and type a prompt.

  2. Select a level of creativity (from Precise to Creative) or type a number between 0 and 1.

    The select option appears on hover.

The selected creativity level is now the default for the GPT functions executed in your workbook. If you refresh existing GPT formulas, the output will consider this new parameter.
